On 4 October 2012, the signing of the Sale & Purchase Agreement (SPA) and Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) were concurrently signed between Bordertown Gateway Sdn Bhd and the Landowners whereby METROWORLD WORLDLAND would undertake the role as Landowner and Developer to develop pieces of land measuring 150 acres strategically located in the "international zone" between Malaysia and Thailand at Pengkalang Hulu, Perak into a Special Border Economic Zone (SBEZ) under the tri-countries governments' agreement of Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand (IMT-GT, Corridor No.1) gazetting it into a "passport and duty free zone".
METROWORLD WORLDLAND simultaneously will purchase half the total land area from the Landowners and JV the remaining half to develop it into an "Integrated International Commercial and Industrial Hub.
On 13 December 2007, Banjaraya Development Sdn Bhd (BDSB) and KOSPADI entered a Sale & Purchase Agreement of a piece of land measuring about 12.5 acres located 2km away from the town of Kuala Selangor along the Coastal Highway. BDSB would develop the land into an integrated commercial center cum tourism hub for the District of Kuala Selangor, to be named Kuala Selangor Commercial Center.
The signing ceremony, held in KOSPADI Headquarter were represented by Mr. Charles Tan (Group CEO) and En. Edros Karim (Executive Director) of BDSB and Tuan Haji Ramli Bin Pembekal (Chairman) and Tuan Haji Amiruddin Bin Md Apandi (Secretary) of KOSPADI.
